Know your towers!

Postby peteyboy » 2004.04.19 6:39 pm

This link is really for Jeff, but I thought everyone might be interested. This link lists all the different cellular towers in a particular area.

Jeff, the tower by my house is US Cellular.
There is also an Alltel towerbetween Mayville and Horicon (near "the Ledge") Craziness

I've noticed while driving down 41, 175, and other busy roads around here that there are a lot more towers lately. This is very cool, since all of them seem to be positively affecting my cell phone. It just makes me wonder though; how can people be so opposed to wind farms around here and welcome these towers wholeheartedly. One of the main arguements against the wind towers (besides the fact they may chop up birds too stupid to avoid them) is that they aren't aesthetically pleasing. Like communication towers are? Yay America for making exceptions only when convenience is concerned, not the environment.
I do what I can.

Beats me. If I was a farmer and was offered money for them to put some on my land, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Why not? They aren't ugly. You want to see ugly? Look at LA smog. That's what we get from fossil fuels.
