I put FF7 personally. It was hard to pick between that and 3, though. Three has to be one of the greatest, but FF7 is the one I ever got the most involved in.

A lot of people didn't like 8, but I sure did. I really wanted a gunblade; they looked cool. And the characters looked awesome, I loved the cutscenes. It was kinda the precursor to FFX, i think.

BTW, you forgot a bunch of em. I added for ya.

im surprised they havent branched off topic like so many other franchises. imagine an FFX volleyball game or FF9 kart racing :)

Maybee my problem was that I played FF8 before I played 7. I went through 8 twice and then started playing 7... but I also bought it as a classic hit and not when it was released. So the graphics didn't really do anything for me.

So 8 is my pick.

FF3 was also a great game, definately one of the best for the snes. Still, I prefer the 8th installation over any of them.

I love FF.

I remember I was playing 7 the other day when I was drunk, and I was at the part with Barrett and Dyne in Corel Prison when Dyne kills himself (for those of you who've played it). It was the liquor talkin, but that part made me sad. I'm such a nerd.

FINAL FANTASY CHRYSTAL CHRONICLES!!! I played it all break. It's not supperb, but the multiplayer mode is awesome, just the fact that you use your GBA as a controller. IT ROCKS!!!

I started playing FF1 lately. IT ROCKS!

Countless flaws of course, like when you buy items you have to buy them one at a time, and when your character is supposed to hit a bad guy that's already been killed, they hit nothing. BUT, a freakin classic nonetheless.

those werent flaws, they were limits. and the bad guy missing thing was an important part of the strategy. youd have to know their HP and keep track of it during battle to make the most of your turns. its what made the game harder.

Eh...I like how your hit transfers over to a different bad guy in the newer games. The buy one item at a time feature really sucks, though.

I'd rather bring back this topic then create a new one, so here it is. I understand its old but bare with me :) .

Has anybody heard anything about Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children? I look up and I only get the damn japanese trailers and half translated sites in english. Did they, or are they ever going to release a english version of it?

(Oh yea, I voted 7.)

For all the stuff I seem to discourage around here, bringing dead posts back to life isn't one of them. And I thought Advent Children was supposed to come over here... Then again I've thought that about a lot of things. Damn Japanese; they get all the good games. Why couldn't the GBA version of Earthbound get ported here?!
